This fall, OAA President Susan Speigel, along with local Councillors and Executive Director Kristi Doyle, have been co-hosting virtual sessions with the Local Architectural Societies. Intended as two-way dialogues between the Association and Society members, the focus has been both on the role of the architecture profession in approaching the climate change crisis and on local issues.
In the last month, online gatherings were held with the Northern Societies (Algoma, North Bay, Northern Ontario, and Northwestern Ontario) as well as with Northumberland Durham and Trent. The remaining events include:
• October 27 at 6:30 pm: Hamilton & Burlington Society of Architects (HBSA)
• November 10 at 6 pm: Grand Valley Society of Architects (GVSA); and
• November 17 at 1:00 pm: London Society of Architects (LSA) and Windsor Region Society of Architects (WRSA);
• November 18 at 6 pm: Toronto Society of Architects (TSA); and
• November 25 at 6 pm: Niagara Society of Architects (NSA).
Society members can participate by contacting their local chair.
